Languages Spoken
Armenian (Hayeren) is the official language and is spoken by the vast majority of the population. Russian is also commonly spoken, especially among older generations, while English is increasingly used by younger Armenians, particularly in Yerevan.
Visas
A valid passport is required for entry into Armenia. U.S. citizens may enter Armenia without a visa for up to 180 days within a year. Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. Travelers from other countries should check visa requirements with Isla Internships Abroad or the Embassy of Armenia in their home country.
