Information on Spain
Languages Spoken
More often than not, the people of Spain refer to their language as Castellano rather than Español (Spanish) because the latter can be any of the other languages spoken in the country. These other languages include Aranese, Basque, Catalan, Galician. English is also a widely spoken language.
Visas
A valid U.S. passport is required for U.S. citizens. Your U.S. passport must be valid for at least three (3) months from the expected date of departure to Spain. U.S. citizens traveling on regular tourist passports may stay in Spain for a total of 90 days within 6 months without a Spanish visa. An empty page for each stamp is needed. Other citizens should check with Isla and the Spanish embassy in your country.
