Hospitality and Tourism
Intern with the umbrella organization representing all cultural and natural tourist guides in Kosovo, the first membership organization of its kind in the country with over 70 members. This organization holds a unique position as the sole national representative from Kosovo in the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG). Their primary mission is to promote Kosovo as a tourist destination by leveraging qualified tourist guides and highlighting cultural and natural heritage as integral resources for tourism development.
Internship Opportunities and Objectives:
Objective 1: Promoting Kosovo as a Tourist Destination
- Promotion of Kosovo through various communication channels.
- Advocacy for natural heritage and environmental protection in Kosovo.
- Promotion of cultural heritage and diversity.
- Enhancement of professional capacities within the membership.
- Promotion of the tour guide profession to younger generations.
- Organization of promotional activities, including symposia and conferences.
Objective 2: Education and Capacity Building for Tour Guide Profession
- Continuous professional development for guides through education and training.
- Assistance and consultancy for national and international tour operators.
- Facilitation of the exchange of professional experiences among guides in Kosovo.
- Promotion of membership in other regional and international associations and organizations.
Objective 3: Advocating for Sustainable Tourism Policy
- Research on various thematic topics related to the tourism sector.
- Advocacy for market regulation and protection of the tour guide profession in Kosovo.
- Collaboration with central and local institutions, as well as other strategic national and international partners in the tourism field.
Interns may have the opportunity to contribute to one or more of these objectives, engaging in activities that range from promoting Kosovo's tourist appeal and cultural heritage to advocating for sustainable tourism policies. This internship provides a unique chance to immerse oneself in the dynamic world of tourism promotion and contribute to the development of the tour guide profession in Kosovo on both national and international platforms.
