
International Animation Film Festival

Intern at an organization in Kosovo that empowers young people to express their ideas through animation, focusing on vital social issues. The organization hosts an annual international film festival and implements various projects:
Film Festival:The festival includes eight competitive categories, covering international, student, Balkan, human rights, feature film, music video, and kids/teen competitions.
Four main cinemas, two indoors and two outdoors, are used for audience screenings.
Projects:a. RegLab:A collaborative project involving cultural centers from six ex-Yugoslav countries.
Aims to establish democratic and participatory models of governance in cultural spaces.
Activities include discursive programs, education, advocacy, and publishing.
b. Human Rightivism:Focuses on increasing human rights awareness in local communities through cultural events.
Teaches marginalized communities about human rights to ensure equal education.
Aims to establish youth-centered programs for sustained human rights awareness.
c. Resilient Community through Arts and Culture:Delivers cultural programs to convey messages to local and wider audiences.
Adapts programs to outdoor or digital formats, considering pandemic-related needs.
Enhances infrastructure and capacity-building for operation in new pandemic situations.
d. Arts in Education:Provides educational programs and cultural activities to enhance youth skills using multimedia and animation.
Exposes young people to animated film as a form of artistic expression.
Contributes to the development of the animation industry in Kosovo.
e. Youth for Change:Aims to create a constructive space for youth participation in local and national governance.
Establishes an online platform, "Virtual Assembly," for young citizens to engage in community change.
Offers internship programs to prepare young people for the labor market and foster cooperation with local institutions.
f. Civic-Public Partnership for Innovative Governance:Collaborative project involving cultural organizations and local networks in Kosovo.
Focuses on democratizing cultural and urban policies, increasing citizen participation.
Strengthening the role of local CSOs and cultural actors in managing public infrastructure with support from the European Union and USAID.
