Youth Reproductive Health and Rights Promotion

Intern with a non-governmental organization dedicated to the well-being of children, youth, and women. This organization operates in Nyarushanje sub-county, Rukungiri district, with its field office situated there, and a coordination office in Kampala. Their vision is to create a society where children, youth, and women have access to essential information, good health, and skills for sustainable development.


Recognizing the critical role of sexual and reproductive health in overall well-being and its impact on social and economic development, the organization has a program designed to provide children, youth, and young women with crucial information and education on sexual and reproductive health. This program addresses various aspects such as teenage pregnancy prevention, menstrual hygiene management, and the prevention and management of HIV and AIDS-related challenges.


Internship Opportunity:


The Youth Reproductive Health and Rights Promotion Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator. They will play a key role in strengthening the Reproductive Health program and driving HIV/AIDS prevention and mainstreaming activities within the organization.


During this internship, you'll have the chance to closely engage with youth on matters related to reproductive health and advocacy. You'll participate in community dialogues with out-of-school youth and in-school adolescents in the target schools, actively contributing to the daily operations of the Sexual Reproductive Program.


This role is geared towards offering intensive support to a group of professional development workers. It's structured to provide an experience that aligns with the expectations and responsibilities of an entry-level development position. The intern will work under the guidance of the organization's Director, Program Director, and receive oversight from the Executive Director.
