Program Overview

Intern with non-governmental organizations with the foremost goal to better the lives of children and improve sexual and reproductive health of women.

Kosovo’s global health and medical sector prioritizes equitable access to quality care, with a particular focus on maternal and child healthcare. With a diverse population, Kosovo’s local healthcare institutions and NGOs work closely with marginalized groups in order to tackle pressing issues, such as leukemia, heart diseases, and asthma. Located in Prishtina, you will work alongside local healthcare institutions and NGOs dedicated to community well-being.

Striving to develop better policies and systems for the care of women, these organizations offer health programs and hands-on support throughout the stages of pregnancy, childbirth,  postpartum, and care of the newborn.

Through their resource centers across the country, these organizations have successfully established clinics for gynecology, obstetrics, neonatology, and pediatrics. Educational programs offered to women include family planning, pregnancy, delivery, and early postpartum care, cervical cancer screening, and childhood vaccination.

As an intern, you will play a key role in raising awareness of health related issues and improving access to services in Kosovo.
